Platinum Air 2000 has become the first commercial operator at Northolt Royal Air Force (RAF) base in London - home to the 32 (The Royal) Squadron that provides transport for the UK Royal Family and UK Government officials. The company owns and operates three 18-seat Jetstream 31 turboprops, two eight-seat Raytheon Beech Super King Air 2000s and one eight-seat Cessna Citation SII. The operator, which also has bases at the UK's Biggin Hill, Southend and Southampton airports, offers ad hoc and regular charter services. Platinum Air chief executive John Mason says: "We are also hoping to establish a small scheduled operation between the north-west and south-west of England."
