Paris has maintained its reputation as the pick of the air show bunch in the opinion of a cross-section of companies manning stands in the various halls.
Peter O'Dea from French company Amp, a leading producer of electrical and electronic interconnection systems, says: "This is without doubt the best show going. It has given us the perfect platform from which to show off our capabilities."
Eckhardt Sperlich from German-based Zeppelin says: "As usual the show is proving very popular. We use the show as a mouthpiece to promote our products and services to existing and potential customers and it has more than lived up to expectations."
Jean-Marc Coursieres from US firm PPG, which specialises in aircraft transparencies, says: "It's a good show. Very active. Two years ago the show was getting back on its feet after two relatively bad ones. I'm glad to say that the organisers have maintained their standards."
He adds: "This show attracts people from all over the world. We enjoy meeting customers and potential customers that we would not normally get the chance to see."
A spokesman from the Precision Rubber Division of Dunlop says: "We've had a great show. It's the first time we have exhibited at Paris as a division and it has gone better than we thought. Paris has more than fulfilled our expectations."
Greg Martin from Standard Aero, one of the world's largest independent gas turbine engine and overhaul companies, says: "The show has been very productive and we have been very busy. We are tired, and that's a good indicator. We have lots of things to go away and work on."
