Turkish Airlines' first Boeing 787 has been temporarily grounded after a window melted during a film shoot.
The 787-9, registered TC-LLA, arrived at Istanbul Ataturk on 27 June, and Turkish arranged filming in the cabin of the aircraft. Light from the equipment used in the course of a 4h session caused a film between the layers of the window to melt, forcing the airline to ground the jet.

Turkish says the required maintenance will be completed today. The aircraft will first fly from Istanbul to Trabzon on 7 July. For one week, the aircraft will be flown only to points in Turkey, for pilot training.
The Star Alliance carrier will receive five Boeing 787-9s over the course of this month and next.
