Qantas Airways plans to resume most trans-Tasman flights from tomorrow, after it cancelled flights this week due to ash plumes from a volcano eruption in Chile.
The Oneworld carrier will resume flights to and from Auckland and Queenstown from 06:00 tomorrow, and services to and from Wellington from 12:00. However, services to and from Christchurch remain suspended, it said.
Air New Zealand, which resumed some operations in New Zealand today, expects to operate almost all of its domestic and trans-Tasman flights tomorrow morning, it said.
However, flights to and from Queenstown will remain suspended until mid-day tomorrow pending further forecasts from New Zealand's Metservice, said the Star Alliance carrier.
