Qatar Airways has decided to walk away from its tie-up with Cargolux and abandon its shareholding in the Luxembourg carrier, according to sources within the airline.
The Doha-based airline acquired a 35% stake in Cargolux last year and has since been seeking to restructure the carrier's operations. However it is understood that after been blocked by other shareholders from pushing through changes, the airline has lost patience and decided to ditch its shareholding.
Qatar Airways declines to comment on the situation.
