Quest Aircraft has received US type inspection authorisation for the Kodiak 10-seat single-engine turboprop, as the Idaho-based company works towards full certification by the year-end. The first production aircraft is set for completion by the end of the month and will be used for flutter and systems testing, followed by function and reliability testing. Quest is “in the final stages of ramping up for full assembly”. The first Pratt & Whitney PT6-powered aircraft will be delivered to Idaho-based Salmon Air shortly after certification.
