Rada Electronic Industries has signed contracts valued at more than $10 million for an aircraft upgrade programme with Brazil, one of its strategic customers in Latin America.

The Israeli company said the new business is a follow-on to contracts signed in 2010 and early 2011, and bring the total value of its participation to $17 million. It declined to name its customer.

Under the new contract, Rada will design and produce installation kits and supply various avionics units for the upgrade programme, and provide customer support.

Rada specialises in the development, production and sale of data recording and management systems, including head-up display cameras, ground debriefing stations, and inertial navigation systems. It also supports avionics upgrades and stores management systems.
