Rafael has teamed with Ultra Electronics to propose the Reccelite optical pod to the UK Royal Air Force. The system allows any aircraft carrying guided weapon systems to locate a target and quickly download location data or imagery into the bomb or missile's guidance unit. The new versions of the Reccelite are capable of almost real-time imagery data for launching autonomous weapon systems. The RecceLite system consists of an airborne reconnaissance pod, a datalink and a ground exploitation station.
