Although black and grey are the most commonly ordered, Gaines Lejeune's broader variety allows for a more complex demand from more diversified market.
The family company produces braided cabling, sheathing and flexible connections, and now offers braiding on harnesses from a variety of materials including polyamide, polyester, copper, stainless steel, and Teflon.
"Airbus, Dassault, Thales and EADS are among our clients," says owner Jean-Jacques Lejeune. "We produce 3 million metres of sheathing every day - enough to circle the world every three days."
The Pontgouin-based company was formed in 1946, and has remained in Lejeune family hands ever since. Today, Jean-Jacques and Christiane Lejeune run the company, with a staff of 15.
