BRITISH AEROSPACE'S RAPIER 2000 low-level air-defence system will enter service with the Royal Air Force Regiment in late 1995. The system was rolled out officially on 18 January. The Ministry of Defence has ordered 57 fire units to be divided between the RAF Regiment and the Royal Artillery. The system is expected to enter service with the Army in 1996.
