Raytheon is to appeal against a US jury's award of $60 million damages to the families of two men killed in 1991 when a Beech Baron 58P piston-twin entered a flat spin. The company will ask for the verdict to be set aside. The jury concluded that Raytheon had failed to warn that the Baron could enter unrecoverable flat spins.
