As predicted exclusively in yesterday's Flight Daily News, Raytheon announced a $220 million order from fractional ownership company Executive Jet for 20 more Hawker 800XPs with 16 options, bringing their total of firm orders for the aircraft up to 40.

Executive Jet also operates 25 Hawker 1000s making the fractional ownership company Raytheon Aircraft's "largest customer by a long shot," in the words of chairman Art Wegner who was speaking yesterday at Farnborough.

The order illustrates Executive Jet's commitment to its NetJets Europe fractional aircraft ownership scheme.

Executive Jet's chairman Richard Santulli says: "We now have more than 1,000 NetJets customers signed up and our European business (a joint venture between Executive Jet, Zimex Aviation of Zurich and Air Luxor of Lisbon) is growing fast.

"We've been operating in Europe now for two years and we have a long-term commitment which will see at least 12 of these new aircraft operating on this side of the Atlantic."
