McDonnell Douglas (MDC) has flight-tested a re-useable navigation-software module in an F-15, six weeks after the same module was tested in an MDC AV-8B. The software was run on a MIPS R4400SC commercial processor in the F-15 and on a Motorola Power PC in the AV-8B. A test in a Power PC-equipped MDC F-18 is planned this month.
