Seen for the first time is the weapons system operator's station in Russia's Mikoyan MiG-31M Foxhound B interceptor. The display configuration differs radically from that in the Foxhound A, the latter's circular radar display being replaced by three cathode ray tubes with what appears to be a moving map display above and to the right. Although procurement of the Foxhound B has been axed, and its sponsoring service, the Air Defence Force, has been merged into the Russian air force, elements of the upgrade could yet be retrofitted into the Foxhound A.
