At a meeting at London Stansted in early February the Forum of European Regional Airports (FARE) was officially established. The new lobby group has been formed by 30 smaller regional airports interested in supporting the development of low-cost airline service and making their case to the European Commission. The first chairman of FARE is Pier Giorgio Ballini, the chief executive of Italy's Pisa airport.
