Reims Aviation's future was decided on 29 January following a French commercial court's decision to sell the subcontracting and maintenance arm to Austrian investment group Ventana, and its F406 special mission aircraft manufacturing activities to French financial group Green Recovery. The new organisation is expected to be in place by the end of next month. Ventana declines to comment on the deal, but according to Reims Aviation, the Vienna-based company plans to call the new acquisition Reims Aerospace SAS and will continue to manufacture aircraft parts for Airbus, ATR and Dassault Aviation. Ventana will also continue to provide overhaul and spare parts for Cessna's single-engined aircraft line. Green Recovery will continue to manufacture, market and maintain the F406/II single engine turboprop under the new banner, SAS Reims Aviation Industries.
