Reuben Brothers - owners of London Oxford airport - have acquired the London Heliport in Battersea. The facility - the UK capital's only Civil Aviation Authority-licensed heliport - was owned by businessman Andrew Davis, proprietor of helicopter charter operator PremiAir - one of the heliport's largest customers.
London Heliport, which is on the banks of the river Thames, has been in operation since 1959, providing helicopter access to the UK's capital for business, leisure, police and air ambulance uses.
It has an established client base and a newly developed terminal and VIP lounge. The facility also benefits from exemption to the no-fly zone during the 2012 Olympics, providing an easy access route to the Games for VIPs.
