Avro Vulcan XH558 flew into RAF Fairford on 16 July, with its arrival marking a major show highlight for many of RIAT's weekend visitors.
Back in the air just weeks after the completion of a full overhaul to its port main landing gear, the Cold War bomber is wowing the crowds again, some 50 years after its first flight from the now-BAE Systems site at Woodford in Cheshire.
Painstakingly restored by the Vulcan to the Sky Trust, XH558 was awarded a new permit to fly on 2 July, enabling it to star at the RAF Waddington air show. It then flew at events at Goodwood and the Royal Navy's Yeovilton air day before heading for appearances at RIAT and Farnborough.
