Alitalia has officially signed a deal to sell its 56% stake in Aeropoti di Roma to Corifi, a financial operation also within the IRI state holding company. The loss making Italian airline will receive a badly needed L452 billion ($275 million) for its stake. Corifi has set up a new holding company to manage the majority stake and plans a public flotation within the next three years.
