Oneworld alliance member Royal Jordanian Airlines is to axe Colombo and Milan, as well as the city of Alexandria, from its route network.
The Amman-based carrier says the number of passengers has declined on these routes and rendered them "unfeasible".
Royal Jordanian will cut the Alexandria service in April and the other two routes a month later.
It says it "constantly reviews its route network" to examine the economic case for each destination, taking into account operating expense, the fleet required and the market share available.
But Royal Jordanian points out that it will be taking five of its 11 Boeing 787s from June this year, replacing some of its Airbus A330s and A340s, and that these will give the airline the chance to open new sectors.
