Hughes is negotiating the contract to build replacement satellites for Russia's ageing Gorizont fleet. The satellites will be HS-601 spacecraft. Alcatel will supply Russian company NPO PM of Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, with the communications payloads for three Express A satellites. The companies already co-operate on the SESAT communications satellite for Eutelsat.
