Cosmos 2387, Russia's only reconnaissance satellite, returned its recovery capsule and camera system to Earth on 27 June after a mission involving 10 orbital manoeuvres, according to the UK's Molniya Space Consultancy. The next one is scheduled for launch this month, with a Proton booster carrying an Araks-class satellite. The first of this model was launched as Cosmos 2344 in June 1997 into a 63.4°, 1,510 x 2,750km (945 x 1,700 mile) orbit, but depressurised after three months.
