The US Federal Aviation Administration has approved the Cessna CitationJet for Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) operations by replacing altimeters with two AM-250 barometric variants supplied by Ametek and Honeywell. RVSM approval allows aircraft to access the restricted RVSM flight levels in operation across the North Atlantic and Pacific, and in European Civil Aviation Conference airspace from January 2002.
