Despite accepting the keys to its first Sikorsky S-92 at the Heli-Expo show in March, launch customer Petroleum Helicopters (PHI) will not take delivery of the aircraft until this month. Reasons for the delay include configuration changes, says an industry source.
Crews from Lafayette, Louisiana-based PHI have already undergone simulator training. The second of the two S-92s on order will arrive a couple of months later, says the source.
