Karachi-based carrier Aero Asia has specified a further Saf-T-Glo Aerospace Pathfinder photo-luminescent floorpath marking system for fitting to another of its Yak 42s.

Bucharest-based airline Romavia has also specified the Pathfinder system for its three BAC 1-11 airliners. Two of the aircraft are in passenger configuration while the third is for VIPs. Delivery for both customers will be during this month.

The Pathfinder floorpath marking system produced by Saf-T-Glo uses photo-luminescence rather than electrical power to illuminate the escape route from dark or smoke-filled aircraft.
