Kaman Aerospace has won a $2.3 million contract from the US Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command for the delivery of 255 MK 54 safety-arming devices to support the navy's STANDARD missile programme.
The devices will be installed on STANDARD missiles used by the US Navy as ship-launched air defences. The award marked the third procurement via Kaman on the NAVSEA contract, which was issued in 2000.
The safety-arming devices are produced by Kaman's Raymond Engineering operation, part of the Kaman Fuzing business unit. They are destined for Raytheon Missile Systems, which is prime contractor on the missile programme.
