Turkish Airlines is acquiring a pair of London Heathrow slots from SAS Group, the second such sale for the Scandinavian company this year.
SAS Group says that Turkish Airlines will take over the slots at the beginning of the winter season in October.
It states that the sale will generate a $22 million earnings benefit for SAS Group, which will feature in its second-quarter accounts.
SAS Group, which sold Heathrow slots to an undisclosed carrier earlier this year, will still have 19 daily slots at the hub.
"After this transaction, SAS does not have any plans to reduce its portfolio of slots," it adds.
SAS insists it will "continue to offer a strong and comprehensive network" between Scandinavian cities and London Heathrow and intends to keep seat capacity unchanged through the use of larger aircraft.
