Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) has extended its contract to provide airport services to Singapore Airlines (SIA) Cargo for another five years.

"The scope of services that SATS will provide encompasses cargo documentation, cargo handling and freighter handling," says SATS.

"This continued partnership underscores the commitment and strong strategic ties between SATS and SIA Cargo. With air cargo traffic showing signs of bottoming out, both partners will continue to work closely together to strengthen their leading positions at the Singapore aviation hub."

SATS did not disclose the value of the contract, which begins retrospectively from 1 April and supersedes an existing deal that expires on 30 September.

Both SATS and SIA Cargo are subsidiaries of Singapore Airlines.
