Middle Eastern carrier Saudia is expecting the electronics ban on its US flights to be lifted in mid-July.
The Saudi Arabian flag-carrier states that it has been working with the kingdom's General Authority of Civil Aviaiton to implement "alternative security measures" to address the prohibition.
Saudi Arabia's Riyadh and Jeddah airports were among a group affected by the ban on passengers' carrying electronic devices into the cabin of US-bound flights.
But Saudia says that "on or before" 19 July, all passengers travelling on its US services "will be permitted" to take laptop computers and other personal electronic devices into the cabin.
Saudia says it will provide an up date "once the matter is finalised".
