SIA names Ionides as VP public affairs

FlightGroup's managing editor (Asia), Nicholas Ionides, has been appointed by Singapore Airlines as its new vice president public affairs.

Nick, formerly aviation editor for Hong Kong's South China Morning Post newspaper, has been with the group for more than a decade, heading the Asia office providing content for Flight International, Airline Business, Air Transport Intelligence and FlightGlobal.

We're delighted for Nick and its great given his extensive knowledge and experience of the airline industry - during which his time he has interviewed all the leading Asian airline figures - that he will remain part of the airline sector.

Nick will take up his new position with SIA from 4 May and we wish him all the best in the new role.
