Singapore Airlines (SIA) has completed a sale-and-lease-back agreement on a fourth Boeing 747-400, and local media reports say Hollywood film star Arnold Schwarzenegger is the buyer.

The airline will not comment on any Schwarzenegger involvement in the deal. It will only say the agreement was signed with Legend International Air, a limited liability company incorporated in the USA. The company was set up for the "Ésole purpose of buying and leasing back the aircraft to SIA," the airline says.

Under the terms of the agreement, SIA will lease back the aircraft for eight-and-a-half years. San Francisco-based Babcock and Brown acted as financial advisor in the deal.

It is the carrier's fourth such agreement since June.
