Signature Flight Support is set to expand its footprint at Los Angeles Van Nuys airport - one of largest business aviation hubs in the US - by three times its size, following its acquisition of Maguire Aviation Group. The $69 million sale is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
Signature will then boast 1,170,000ft² (108,810m²) of hangar space, ramp area, passenger lounges, offices and a dedicated facility used by NetJets fractional ownership and charter customers.
Van Nuys airport serves the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area and ranks as the sixth busiest business and general aviation airport in the US, handling more than 250,000 aircraft movements a year.
"The newly acquired assets will be branded Signature Flight Support and will operate as part of the Signature global network [of more than 100 locations]," says the BBA Aviation-owned company.
