ST Engineering’s aerospace unit has signed a three-year heavy maintenance contract with a major North American carrier.
The agreement covers the airline’s fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft, which comprise A319s, A320ceos, and A321neos. The first aircraft was inducted, and subsequently redelivered, in January.
ST Engineering will provide the heavy maintenance services at its facility located at San Antonio International Airport. The facility’s 700,000 sq ft hangar can accommodate eight widebody and seven narrowbody aircraft.
Separately, ST Engineering states that it is expanding its existing facility at Pensacola, Florida, with construction work slated to commence this year.
“Once completed, the Pensacola facility will have a total annual capacity of 2.1 million labour hours,” ST Engineering states.
