The Singapore Air Force is retrofitting its fleet of Eurocopter Super Puma 1 helicopters with a health and usage monitoring system (HUMS) package, supplied by Eurocopter.
Called EuroHUMS 1, the system monitors dynamic systems and analyses performance data to allow diagnostic action. It consists of a data-acquisition unit, HUMS processor, rotor tracking and balance functions, flash-memory cartridge and a ground station. A combined voice- and flight-data recorder is also included.
