McDonnell Douglas has received a $91.5 million US Navy contract for development of the Stand-Off Land Attack Missile - Expanded Response (SLAM ER) upgrade, which will increase range by 50% and double warhead penetration and datalink range.
The SLAM ER is the basis of MDC's Grand SLAM contender for the UK's conventional stand-off-missile programme.
