Cash shortages have delayed yet another Russian space launch. The Progress M33 tanker, which was to have been launched on a Soyuz U rocket on 15 October to supply cargo to the Mir 1 space station, has been grounded until early November. Budget cuts have reduced the annual production of Soyuz boosters to six, compared with 80 in 1980.
