Snecma Services and Northwest Airlines have signed a long-term maintenance 'per-flight-hour' agreement to cover all Northwest Airlines' CFM56-5A engines.
The agreement, announced at the show, runs to the end of 2020 and covers engines on 150 Airbus A319s and A320s. Valued at more than $2 billion, the contract covers the maintenance of the engines, as well as the engine line replaceable units (LRUs).
"We are very proud to have earned the confidence of Northwest Airlines over the past eight years and are delighted for this opportunity to serve them for another 16 years," says Jean-Lin Fournereaux, president of Snecma Services.
