Spanish start-up South Atlantic Airways has launched operations with a Rolls-Royce RB211-powered Boeing 757-200 on a five-year lease from Israeli carrier Arkia. The airline is initially operating holiday flights between the UK and Greece, and will later switch to serving the Canary Islands where it is based. Negotiations are currently under way for the acquisition of a second aircraft.
