Ohio-based ball-bearing specialist Timken and subsidiaries MBP and Latrobe Steel ( D131) have brought their Code 629 bearings - specifically manufactured for the aircraft industry - to Asian Aerospace '98.
MBP has been manufacturing bearings for 70 years and was one of the first companies to begin supplying the aerospace industry in the 1950s. Its products are now to be found in almost every major engine programme in North America.
MBP bearings also play a critical role in cockpit instrumentation, fuel controls, pumps and valves.
This year Timken is also promoting its Precision Bearing Center (PBC) business dedicated to remanufacturing.
