Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet plans to launch three new international services.
It will operate daily services from Kochi to Male and Dubai starting 29 November and 10 December respectively, says the carrier. A daily service from Ahmedabad to Dubai will also begin on 19 December, it adds. Male is the airline's fifth international destination.
SpiceJet will use Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft on the Kochi-Male route, and Boeing 737-800s on the two Dubai routes.
Innovata Schedules show that SpiceJet will be the only operator on the Kochi-Male route, but will compete with carriers such as Emirates on the Dubai routes.
