Turkish Airlines aircraft have been arriving at the carrier's new Istanbul airport base as operations transfer from Ataturk.
The operator is in the middle of a 45h transition to the new airport that started at 00:00 on 5 April and is due to end at 21:00 today. As part of that process, its Ataturk-based fleet has been moved to the new facility via ferry flights.
The transition included a 12h gap between the final passenger flight from Ataturk at 02:00 and the first from the new airport at 14:00 local time today.
Data from Cirium's FlightStats shows Turkish Airlines flight TK2154 to Ankara departed from the new airport at 14:03, signalling the end of that pause in passenger flights.
