Swissair has begun a three-times-a-week Boeing 747 combi service from Zurich to Shanghai via Beijing. The outward flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with return flights on the following weekdays. Permission to begin the service was granted by China during a visit to the country by Swissair president Hannes Goetz.
