To prevent costly maintenance bills, Symetrics Industries has developed a new aircraft "health check" system designed to minimise maintenance bills.
The Aircraft Condition Analysis and Management System (ACAMS) uses sensors to monitor performance at key points in an aircraft and its computers and _software.
Both aircrew and ground staff can be alerted to any significant changes. Maintenance workers at the destination can then be briefed to check for potential problems and forestall subsequent expensive repair work.
