Airbus has reached a monthly production rate of 10 aircraft for its A350 programme, in industrial terms.
It has been aiming for a monthly delivery rate of 10 by the end of this year, and says the programme ramp-up is continuing to make "good progress" towards this target.
Chief financial officer Harald Wilhelm says the A350 is already "running at rate 10" on the industrial side.
He says the airframer is still addressing some interior quality issues, which need to "step up further", but the supply chain for the A350 is "in a very good spot".
"The focus remains on further recurring cost convergence," says Airbus.
Airbus has not secured any A350 orders over the first three months, but Wilhelm says the delivery slot situation is "compatible" with the production rate of 10 aircraft per month for 2019.
Over the first quarter the airframer delivered 17 A350s including the first A350-1000.
"We're very well positioned on the industrial side," says Wilhelm. "There is progress on recurring costs, we're on track for break-even, now what matters is to make it margin-positive and cash-positive."
