French maintenance specialist Sabena Technics has won a deal to upgrade the cabin interiors of seven Lufthansa Airbus A330s.
Sabena Technics says the contract – jointly awarded by the German airline and its sister MRO provider Lufthansa Technik – will include installation of a "new cabin and system concept" and base maintenance tasks on "some" aircraft, to be undertaken in Bordeaux.
Work on the project will begin this month and is scheduled for completion in spring, says Sabena Technics.
It notes that Lufthansa Technik holds supplemental type certificates for the A330s and will supply the "modification kit design" for the effort.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that Lufthansa's mainline fleet includes 19 A330s.
