SITAOnAIR has equipped a Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with GX Aviation's high-speed broadband connectivity.
This is the first aircraft in Asia-Pacific to become GX Aviation enabled, says SITAOnAIR.
Yann Cabaret, vice-president of customer programmes at SITAOnAIR says that the SIA project was "extremely challenging."
"It required SITAONAIR’s long-lasting expertise in the management of complex industrial consortiums, operating in constrained environments, to deliver the project on time, and synchronized with the planned grounding period for the aircraft," he adds.
GX Aviation is part of satellite firm Inmarsat, and SITAOnAIR is one of its resellers.
