US FAA regulators have also certified the Airbus A350-1000, following the type's approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency.
Airbus confirms that the twinjet, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, has obtained type certification from the FAA.
It had originally expected later approval from the US regulator when EASA granted approval to the aircraft on 21 November.
The FAA has yet to update its public certification database to include the type.
It certified the smaller A350-900 on 12 November 2014, about six weeks after EASA.
None of the A350-1000's orders is associated with a US operator, although US lessor Air Lease has an agreement for nine.
United Airlines had originally ordered 35 of the type but recently converted the entire batch to the -900 variant.
