TAG Aeronautics, Bombardier's distributor in the Middle East, has ordered five Continental super mid-size business jets for delivery beginning in early 2004. The $75 million deal boosts orders for the aircraft beyond 110.
The first Continental is due to begin low-speed taxi testing this month. Type approval and first green deliveries are set for the fourth quarter of 2002.
Bombardier is also improving the payload-range performance of its Learjet 45 mid-size jet.

The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered inspections of the Gulfstream G500 and G600 fleet in response to a “quality escape” involving improperly installed engine-mounting hardware.
