Northrop Grumman has been awarded a $24 million foreign-military-sales contract from the US Navy to repair and refurbish a TW-3 aircraft operated by the Taiwanese air force. The TW-3 is Taiwan's designation for the Northrop Grumman E-2C Hawkeye airborne early-warning aircraft. The country purchased four E-2Cs in 1994 to provide the air force with an organic airborne-surveillance capability.
