Russian state airline Rossiya is seeking to acquire 16 Airbus A320s under a government-granted tax-free regime. The transport ministry has decided to submit the carrier’s request to lift customs duties and VAT on 16 A320s to the Russian cabinet for approval. The ministry says receiving this tax exemption is crucial for Rossiya, which has merged with St Petersburg-based Pulkovo Airlines.
